As many of us have…you too have probably asked this question. Why did God create or make mankind?
You too have probably heard it also be said that God created mankind because he (God) was lonely.
God… Who is like unto him? The God that created the heavens and the earth. The God who created the universe that has no limits and is ever expanding.
How can a perfect God ever be lonely? How can a self-sustaining self-sufficient God be in need of anything? I mean, really think about this… The God that says that he will make all things work together for good to them that love him, to those who are the called according to his purpose. The same God that says that he will supply our every need according to his endless riches in glory by our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. What makes us think that we have anything that God needs? I like the way Job summed it up when he said to God these words…I know that thou can do everything and that no thought can be withheld from you. Job 42:2.
So why did God make man? Well, it’s because he chose to, He also made us out of a love that can’t be fathomed. If we look back in the book of Genesis we see that out of all of God’s creation, man is the only part of his creation that the Bible expresses that we were formed and breathed into. This to me expresses tender love, care and intimacy. Now get this. God is an all knowing God, and yet he still made us. So if the question ever comes up again as to why God made man. Remember that we were Made To Be Loved.
